In the 60's, politicians swore the Commies would take over the world if we did not secure Vietnam, but now

They were sorta right. The commies have taken over half the electorate in the US, and have a good chance to control all three branches of the government. Once that happens, look for this bunch to spread their politics via the United Nations. Most of those countries are there to some degree, anyway.
