How well can german shepherds swim?

I know they can swim but I was just wandering how good they are at swimming, i am sure they cant swim as well as a lab though... from like 1 - 10, say 1 is an English bulldog and 10 is a lab or newfoundland or Chesapeake bay retriever... I had a German shepherd, he didn't much like swimming though...
