Why must men always cut farts in public?

At least you know when they're going to do it. My brother just sits there, and his are really silent, you can NEVER know when they're coming until you smell them. It's SO disgusting. Then AFTER we yell at him for not telling us, he either says sorry, or "I did?" with the stupidest look on his face. XD
